If you’re a 3L looking for one central resource that has loads of entry-level job postings outside of the private firm world:
Search PSJD’s job profiles and pages and pages of jobs come up. Go to advanced search, click the “job postings” button, scroll to the bottom and mark off “Entry Level 0-3 years ” under “experience level.” (You need to log into PSJD to access these postings. If you don’t have a log in, it is free and easy to create.)
Here are just a few of the great jobs you can find by doing this search:
Positions with private firms that have a public service flavor such as this posting with a private firm “devoted to serving public education” in Albuquerque, DOJ jobs, other federal jobs such as this posting for a Trial Attorney with the U.S. Department of Energy, public interest jobs in urban areas such as this posting for a Staff Attorney with the Northwest Immigrant Rights Project in Seattle, local government positions such as this posting with the County District Attorney’s office in Las Vegas with a salary of $55,473.60 – $86,049.60,
public interest jobs outside of major cities such as this posting for a Staff Attorney with 0-5 years experience with Central California Legal Services in Fresno, and jobs with universities such as this posting for an Associate General Counsel/Compliance Officer with the University of Central Arkansas. This list has some incredible opportunities so be sure to spend some time with it.
