New York employer outreach: What questions should I ask?

Next week, I am headed to New York to manage the New York OCIP and to meet with employers. Employer outreach is one of my favorite parts of my job because I get to talk to employers about how great Notre Dame students are, learn more about summer programs and postgraduate opportunities, and form relationships with New York employers that will hopefully lead to more jobs for NDLS students and graduates.

Next week, I will be meeting with:

Center for Appellate Litigation

New York Attorney General’s Office

Legal Aid Society of New York

New York District Attorney’s Office

-New York City Law Department

I want your suggestions as I meet with these employers. What questions do you want me to ask them?

I plan to learn more about their summer programs, including what their legal interns do over the summer and what kinds of projects they work on, the application process for applying for a summer job, and what they look for in resumes and cover letters. I also plan to ask about postgraduate opportunities, how to apply for those, and what they look for in entry-level attorneys.
